The occasion not only allowed a splendid opportunity to meet all our award winners or their representatives to congratulate and speak about their respective images, but to meet other entrants who took part which made the presentation a special and memorable occasion for both Wellingborough Civic Society and Wellingborough and District Camera Club.

Derek Larkin, EFIAP, Chairman of Wellingborough and District Camera Club, spoke to the audience about all images received and the difficulty experienced of selecting winners due to the high quality of submission. Derek also explained the various techniques behind the photography.

Wellingborough Civic Society would like to thank Max Spielmann ‘The Photo Expert’ Swansgate Centre and also the Hind Hotel who generously donated prizes and Wellingborough Museum for help and support. We would also like to extend a huge thank you to everyone who submitted images, as without these our competition would not have been possible.

Wellingborough Civic Society in conjunction with Wellingborough and District Camera Club would like to encourage everyone to take part in our 2017 competition ‘Your Wellingborough’, details of which will be published later in the year..

Don’t forget to visit the exhibition of all images entered in ‘Your Wellingborough’ 2016 which finishes on September 30th and is located in the lower gallery at Wellingborough Museum.
