The audience was shown photographs of the town as it was followed closely by the location as it is now. Everyone was given an opportunity to share reminiscences of the town in past times and discussion of the town as it is now.

THE HISTORY OF SULGRAVE MANOR

A brilliant evening in the company of Martin Sirot-Smith who brought Sulgrave Manor and its inhabitants to life for those assembled in the Dulley Room.
Lawrence Washington, Lord of the Manor of Sulgrave and Stuchbury, resplendent in the wonderful rich robes of Tudor England recounted not only history of the Washington family from humble beginnings in the North East to the pinnacle of their success in Northamptomshire but that of the house itself.
This evening was one to be remembered. Living history in action!

During his absorbing talk Ian Meadows, Specialist Archaeological advisor at Chester Farm presented the audience with fascinating evidence discovered of iron- age roman and medieval forebears at this important heritage site.

In our ten minute spot Ian Hamilton, Owner and General Manager of the Hind Hotel spoke of his origins, initial purchase of the hotel with hopes and aspiration for subsequent years.
