Joining the Society

Membership is open to anyone with an interest in our historic town and as a member you will receive: Free entry to our monthly talks, which are held in the evening on the third Thursday of each month. An invitation to our annual outing in the summer, and also our Christmas lunch (which are charged for separately).A quarterly Newsletter detailing what we are doing, what's happening in our town, and also often an article of historical interest. Occasional E-mails informing you of relevant local matters and news of similar societies in neighbouring towns which we feel may be of interest. Our membership fees are deliberately kept very low because we don't want to deter anyone from joining. As a charity we are bound by our governing document,"The Constitution" which can be downloaded here: (NOT QUITE READY)
